After my own experience of healing through therapy I strive to provide a similarly positive and healing experience for others.
I am passionate about empowering you to recognise your own uniqueness to increase your assertiveness to have the life and relationships you want.
Unfortunately, sometimes a relationship or life experience can have a negative impact on us. Being the adaptive species that we are, we create ways to tolerate these difficult times. These adaptations do a wonderful job in helping us survive, but unfortunately as time passes, we can grow out of these suits of armour and eventually instead of helping, they can restrictive.
Sometimes talking to loved ones can be hard. Sometimes they just don’t get it. They don’t understand the anxiety, the depression, the anger or the overwhelm. They don’t understand why we have low self-esteem and confidence. They can go on to minimise the difficulties that we experience in day to life. This can cause us to worry that we’re overreacting and being too sensitive.
However, it’s not all bad.
If relationships and experiences can cause difficulties, then they can also do the opposite and be a source of healing. This is where I can help you, as a therapeutic relationship isn’t like any other relationship.
I’m comfortable in exploring what makes you, uniquely you. The positive, the negative and those that you’re not too sure about. All of you is welcome, even those feelings and thoughts you may feel uneasy about.
We can look at the different parts of your armour and see which parts work well and which parts need upgrading or even getting rid of altogether.
I provide peace and gentle curiosity. I hope to help you shine a light within your shadow so that you get to know and appreciate all aspects of yourself, even the parts of you that are currently making you feel uncomfortable.
