FAQs

What are sessions like?

Sessions are 50mins long and are carried out either in person or online via Zoom.

In Person Sessions

If you would prefer to meet in person, I rent a room at the All Saint Centre in Huthwaite.

Zoom Sessions

Due to the pandemic, we have found that counselling can work very well digitally, with many therapists now working solely online.

If you would prefer this type of session, I will email you an additional online contract. If you are happy to go ahead, I will email you a link the day on the session. You will not need to download any software.

I ask that you find a place that is comfortable and private where you will not be disturbed by others. Have a drink to hand and it may be useful to have some tissues nearby too.

I believe there is no one size fits all in regards to therapy, therefore sessions will look and feel different for each client.

We may focus on how you are in the moment during sessions, or we may explore your past and how previous experiences may be impacting your current feelings and behaviour.

I tailor make each session to your needs, therefore the more you tell me, the better service I can give you.

I work relationally so I will also invite you to explore the relationship that we have with each other, during sessions.

Research shows that the ‘therapeutic relationship’ between client and counsellor is vital for successful counselling, therefore I will strive to help you feel comfortable and secure so you can share your experience of me and our sessions.

My aim is to create an environment for you to talk, reflect and to be heard

Payment
